Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson found dead
Heiress Casey Johnson’s short-lived party-filled life has left a devastating effect on her father, Robert “Woody” Johnson. Casey was found dead in her apartment on Monday by her maid in her West Hollywood home. The tragic heiress lived her final days in squalor in a rubbish-strewn slum with no electricity, water or gas, and rats in her swimming pool.
In her dark pit of despair, the troubled heiress claimed she had found love with D-list actress Tila Tequila and the couple put a video online last month showing them both in their underwear announcing their engagement. L.A. Socialite Courtenay Semel, the heiress daughter of ex-Yahoo CEO Terry Semel reportedly dated Johnson and was also tied at one point to reality show diva Tila Tequila.
Police were still investigating the circumstances surrounding Ms Johnson’s death after her body was discovered on Monday at her West Hollywood home. Last night, friends said the heiress was broke as she battled diabetes and emotional demons in the final months of her life but it is highly speculated that the 30 year-old’s hard partying, alcohol and drug abuse may be a contributing factor to her untimely death.
The socialite left behind an adopted daughter from Kazakhstan, Ava Monroe, named after Johnson’s idol, Marilyn Monroe. After Casey had continuously showed no signs of straightening out, her billionaire father Robert Johnson cut off her allowances and his adopted granddaughter was taken into his care.

Many socialites in Hollywood such as the Hilton sisters, Paris and Nicky, and Nicole Richie held a tribute for Johnson on Tuesday. Friends and well-wishers extended their condolences via Twitter.
Ms Johnson is thought to have been dead for up to seven days before her body was found.
The last anyone `heard from her was when she posted a message on Twitter that read: ‘Sweet dreams everyone.’
In November, she allegedly tried to commit suicide and spent three days in intensive care after taking a drug overdose.
‘Her family were giving her tough love and said she was cut off unless she went into rehab. They did everything they could to help her, but she wouldn’t help herself,’ a friend told the Post
Ms Johnson’s funeral is expected to be held in New York on Sunday.
